Hang In There!

I know many of my blogging friends are buried in snow at the moment. Here in North Carolina we have managed to escape the big storm. Last night we had some rain and today it is windy, however, temperatures are in the lower sixties...not bad for the second day of February. I thought I would venture out and look for some signs of spring to share with those of you that may need some warmth today. I didn't find much happening in my yard at the moment. It seems that the signs of spring are running a little late this year; however, I did manage to get a few glimpses of what is to come.

<

For instance, my winter daphne appears to be getting ready to bring forth its sweet smelling blooms...

...and my daffodils are just starting to poke through the barren ground.

So, for those of you who are anxious for spring to appear...

...hang in there, spring is on the way! :)

Absolutely love the photo of the cat:)

Wish I lived close enough to enjoy the daphne when it blooms. Wouldn't mind enjoying a few 60-degree days too. We are surviving up here in the frozen north but right now the weather is anything but pleasant.

I know exactly how that cat feels if it is trapped in a house with 3 bored out of their minds kids and a foot of snow in the driveway so you can't leave. Now it is snowing again!

Your photos are a really lovely reminder that spring is nearly here. I always feel better when the daffodils push through the ground. They are my favorite flower and I wait for them to bloom each year. I'm new to your blog, but I love what I've found here. I'll definitely be back. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary

How nice to come to your blog and see a picture of winter daphne. Mine is blooming already, and it makes winters so much more enjoyable for me. The picture of the cat is so funny!

I can relate to that adorable kitty! The past week has been harsh. On the positive side, I've accomplished quite a bit inside and outside, the landscape is beautiful. Spring will seem even sweeter!

Best,
Bonnie

So cute! I love the kitty hanging on. I need to plant some bulbs this year. I always admire them in other yards but never plant any here.

You mentioned Valentine projects for your church kids. BBC's class did this at church for Christmas last year but I thought it would be cute in a Valentine box, too. http://southernfrieddreams.blogspot.com/2010/02/southern-fried-sundays.html

Have a blessed weekend, my friend!

A happy remimder of good things to come!Just want to kiss your sweet kitty! We have a ways to go here,-(not until late April will we see daffodils)-near the shores of Lake Erie. Until then-I'll try to enjoy the winter air,(might get brave and take a walk today with the Buckeroo) and look forward to your glimpses of Spring!
Have a wonderful week!
