Thankfulness

As Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, I find myself becoming increasingly busy readying my house for the friends and family that will be coming over to celebrate. I have created a master list with many chores that need to be completed in order for my house to be ready to host this much anticipated event.

It would be very easy to get all caught up in the many preparations and forget about why we celebrate this blessed day in the first place, so I've decided to make sure that doesn't happen. Between now and next Thursday I am going to post something that I am thankful for each day. It is my hope that this will serve as a reminder to me to slow down and remember to be thankful during this season.

Today I want to thank the Lord for giving me such a wonderful husband and two precious daughters to cherish in this life. I don't know what I would do without them. They give me so much joy each day. I am blessed!

Who are you thankful for today?

Who am I thankful for? Not to copy you, but I'm so grateful for my husband, two sons and daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren. And then my list continues with my sister and two brothers - and John David's family. Of course, friends are on my list, too - including blogger friends like yourself. I'm especially thankful for my older friends whose lives have taught me so much.

oh, could i please see your master list? i get so
overwhelmed at thanksgiving and Christmas,
because i am NOT a good cook. it is just so
difficult for me to put it all together and still
enjoy my family.

pretty please.

What a delightful idea and a wonderful way to give thanks for all our many blessings.
I too am blessed with a special and kind family. They are the light of my life.

Blessings to you and yours.

I am thankful for my three daughters and one son. I am thankful for a husband who always encourages me, and is a constant in my life. I am thankful that fear is not a part of our family life, and that love and acceptance reign. And I am thankful for all these bloggers who have me saying what I'm thankful for because it reminds me of all the good things I have, and lifts my spirits, and increases my joy. :)

You are indeed blessed. I too have been thinking about how lucky I am in my life and how wonderful I have it. It hasn't always been that way but for now things are pretty fantastic. I too am most thankful for my family. Without them life would be so much more different and I so love them all.
