Thankful for The Creator and His Creation

As the next few days pass by and I take the time to think about all of the things that I am thankful for, I can't let another moment pass without thanking my God, my Lord and Savior, the Creator of all things. Without him there would be no reason to be thankful. His creation alone should produce a heart full of thankfulness. I am especially grateful for His precious son who died for my sins.

I try not to let a single day pass without taking in the beauty of His creation.

I see Him in the beautiful fall colors...

...and in the reflection of the still waters...

...and in the beauty of the skies...

...especially the beauty of the skies.

For the beauty of the earth
For the beauty of the skies
For the love, which from our birth
Over and around us lies
Over and around us lies
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our joyful hymn of praise!

This is one of your best posts, Carla! Your photos are wonderful, and your thankful heart seems to spill over in your words of praise! I think of the Scripture that says "the Lord inhabits the praise of His people" . .. and that's a beautiful thought!

Don't you think that you see so much more beauty around you when photography is one of your hobbies? I do.

Hope you have a great pre-Thanksgiving week!

Such a lovely Thanksgiving post, Carla! I miss the Thanksgiving hymns here. And I never get to hear them because I haven't been home for the holiday in 18 years. Still... your words here made me hum a little tune this morning, and perhaps I'll go play the song on the piano with another cup of coffee. Hugs!

All beautiful photos, and a beautiful hymn to go with it. A loving creator gave us all of this.

Wonderful photos! The fence reminds me of Thanksgivings at my aunt's farm! The juxtaposition of the church and cross and sky is such a powerful reminder of what we need to be thankful for!

Best,
