My Treadmill

When the new year rolls around most people resolve to do a few things different. I am not much for new year resolutions since most of them get broken within the first week, however, I did resolve to get a little more exercise in the coming year. So far things are going well with that.

Even though the skies have looked like this...

...we have managed to take a walk every day.

Even though I have a treadmill inside...

...I still much prefer this view.

The scent of the pine trees wafting through the air gives me some much needed therapy. Has anyone else resolved to move more this year?

Well, I LOVE the open road you have there. We have tiny twisty streets, and these views soothe my heart, Carla. Thank you for that.

I have no resolutions, but I do like to run, so think of me whenever you get on that treadmill... let's walk together! xoxo

You certainly have a beautiful place for outside walking. I'll take outside exercise over inside exercise any day.

One of my goals for 2011 is to continue with the exercise that I already do. I'm working towards a spring half marathon right now.

A walk on that country road, in the breezes and with the pines scenting the air would be so much better than a treadmill.

I do a lot of bending, walking, hauling when I work in the gardens, that is my exercise. :-)

Have a great 2011.

I love walking in the winter. We have had a really mild winter for Michigan so far. Makes for great walking weather. Seems every month I am resolving to move more. Good luck on your resolution.

I'm going for a walk at Costco this morning. I guess that should count. I'd much prefer country lanes!

What a beautiful view to enjoy as you walk! Yes, I have intentions of walking more. I can't do much on snowy days outdoors, but have a mini-tramp and a "circuit" to walk INSIDE the house...

Its good to walk outside and get some good ole vit D from the sun and take in all that beauty. I wish you all the best in your new resolutions.

Oh yes! BBC and I went for a stroll over the Big Dam Bridge here in Little Rock yesterday. It was a lovely day and the view was awesome as well. I'm with you - I prefer to be outside than on the treadmill. Good luck with your resolution! Happy New Year!

The scent of pine trees is wonderful isn't it? It's great that you have that open country to walk in.

We have walked everyday too, but once we leave the tropical climate I don't think we will be doing that! Your climate still looks wonderful! Enjoy those wonderful walks.

I have a treadmill and really hate using it.. so I don't! I prefer to walk too but I haven't done much of that lately either... I'll be starting soon though. Went out yesterday with my dd and dog for a quick walk, today we'll do the same and hopefully walk longer. :)

I'd love that road and scenery beside my house! I really need to move more this year. Right now I'm recovering from a week of the flu, but when I'm well, I must do something! Keep reminding me that I MUST do something!
