A Week With My Man!

Tomorrow both of my girls are leaving for a week of camp with their youth group. It is the first time that Carson has been old enough to go, so that means that John and I will be without both girls for the week. The camp is only ten minutes away from my parents' beach house and we have decided to spend the week together there.

This means that while our girls are having tons of fun with their friends, John and I will be having tons of fun with each other. This will be the first time that we have ever been to the beach house alone. I think we will try out some new restaurants, shop for antiques in beautiful Southport, and enjoy some quiet time on the beach. The best part of the whole trip is knowing that if our girls need us for anything, we will only be ten minutes away. I'm a little attached to them. Can you tell?

Oh well, I'll catch up with you all when I get back. I hope everyone has a blessed week! Try to stay cool!

I love that picture, I would love to just walk along that path and step on to the sand. What a wonderful week you'll both have together. I wish I could go somewhere with my sweetie for just a few days!

Hi!
I just found your blog through Yvonne's blog (stoneGable) I also have two girls, and we use to live in NC. Actually it was where my oldest daughter was born. I miss it there, all the friendly smiling faces... nothing like Southern hospitality! ;-} I hope you have a wonderful time at the beach! If you get a chance come visit my blog and say hi!
Blessings, Jill

That worked out perfectly. A beach house so close to the camp, wonderful. I envy you, sounds wonderful.

How lovely to have just "the two of you time". Our boys went to camp in North Carolina. It had a "sister" camp but I cannot recall the name. And, it was in the foothills.

Have fun!

Best,
Bonnie

Sounds like the perfect getaway - know you'll have a fun time especially with the girls almost within calling distance!! Hope their camp days are great - my granddaughter Jasmin is at her Summer camp this week, her 6th year and she truly loves it.

Dip your toes in the Alantic for me Carla - anything cooling these days will help!

Happy week dear - hope you both relax and enjoy time together.
Hugs - Mary
