Hurricane Irene

One of my favorite places is starting to feel the effects of Hurricane Irene. Although these pictures of Oak Island were taken on a beautiful summer day, our good friends are now experiencing rain bands from the storm.

Please join me in praying for all of those on the east coast in the path of this large storm.

If any of you are in the path of Irene, please stay safe and know that I am praying for you and your families.

Best,

Carla, I pray with you that those in the path of the storm will be safe. Will you feel any effects where you live?

This is a scary storm! We're wondering how my mom's beach house will fair.

What a beautiful place. I pray your friends are safe and that the worst is behind them. I have family in Delaware and know they are experiencing high winds, rain and tornadoes there.
Did you resolve your comment issue. I was having the same issues and found that if I sign out of blogger completely and resign (don't save your sign on and password) each time I use blogger I don't have a problem with the comments. Hope that helps, I know how frustrating it is to right a thoughtful comment and be sent in a circle and not have it post. Nice to meet you.

We are so thankful that Irene is past, that folks are cleaning up as things begin to mend, but especially that it was not as severe as forecast.

Carla, hope all is well with your family and that the girls are doing well. Where did the summer go?

Hurricane Irene interrupted our trip to Connecticut, and our family got hit with it too. Not as bad as further inland though.
