Spring has sprung here in North Carolina! As I am writing this post the birds' sweet songs are drifting through the morning air. After a very busy weekend full of activities...prom...photo shoot...art show performance...and...Easter cantata...it is nice to have a quiet morning to just sit and reflect. I am reminded of how incredibly blessed my family is.
Catie and her friends enjoyed their Senior prom this weekend. The weather was perfect! In fact, it was so nice that she and a friend sat on the pier at the end of the night and enjoyed the warm breeze.
It's hard to believe that she is graduating in just a couple of months. Where did the time go? It seems that just yesterday she was a curly headed little girl playing with toys.
Even though they sometimes argue, you can tell that they really love each other.
As pretty as they are, the azaleas can't hold a candle to Catie.
This child has always loved trees. When she was little, she used to run up and wrap her arms around them.
Every year her prom pictures have to include a tree!
I always like the pictures with the water in the background.
Can you believe that this was the first dress that she tried on?
It fit perfectly! No alterations at all.
I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to take care of this darling girl for the last 17 (almost 18) years. I guess it's almost time for her to spread her wings and fly. I'm sure she is ready...I just don't think that I am!

Are you ever ready?! Really? The first one she tried one? It looks great on her. I really like it. It seems like this school year has just flown by! Both your girls are just gorgeous! Love the picture of the both of them.
Catie is beautiful! It's hard to pick a favorite pose; they are all gorgeous! I like the way she chose to wear her hair - simply elegant! I know you must be extremely proud of her and Carson. You are blessed!

Mom--we are never ready but fly they will. I'm sure your lovely girl will do you proud in her new and more independent role. That dress is just perfect in every way!
Best,
Bonnie
Well I'm pretty sure you are not ready to let her go but there comes that time. So bittersweet. Catie is beautiful in the dress and you took some fantastic pictures. Hugs to you all.

Catie, and the dress, are gorgeous.........I know you must be very proud of her accomplishments. I wish her wonderful years ahead at Carolina - good choice of course (even though we're NCSU fans!) .
Enjoy your Easter Sunday - many blessings to you Carla and your lovely family.

Hi Carla!
I enjoyed catching up on your post this morning very much! Every single picture of Catie is lovely! What a beautiful memory of her in pictures- you will always have these to look back on! Also enjoyed the post on Carsons recording experience-how exciting! Your property looks so beautiful-how blessed you are to own horses! I have always loved horses-had three of my own when I was a teen. Kept them at my grandmas farm since I lived in the city. Thankful I was able to have that experience.
Again-I enjoyed all!
Have a wonderful day! With love from the cabin,
Claudia
