Longing for Spring

I think the winter blahs have set in. You know what I am talking about...the time of year when one starts longing for spring...longing for signs of new life. It has actually set in a little earlier than usual around here. I think that it may be because our winter weather has been colder and started earlier this year. I don't know. What I do know, however, is that the bleakness of winter makes the joy of spring all the more sweet. Don't you think?

  1. I am with you. I was longing for spring the day after Christmas! I am thinking that this weekend I need to get some planted spring flowers to infuse some life into the drab and dreary.

  5. I was thinking the very same thing this morning as I sat in my car. The snow was falling around me in the silence, and rather than moan, I thought... "Think how much you will skip and laugh when spring comes!"

  6. Hi, Was blog hopping and saw your blog title and it caught my eye. I enjoyed reading your blog. Your soup and cookies look wonderful. We got up to about 3 inches of snow this morning here in Kentucky. Like you, I am so ready for spring. Have a good weekend.

  13. I've been drooling over gardening catalogs and went to Barnes and Noble today to read some of the newest gardening books. I keep looking for signs of spring in the quince bushes, etc. Will January ever be over?

  14. I do remember those days, Carla. Now however I get those feelings in the summer when I've had enough of the heat and humidity. I just traded one for the other. I guess I can't have everything.. or can I ;)

    warm hugs,
    Pam
